I don’t have much to say about the shooting itself; James Fallows [link] nailed what really needed to be said about it yesterday. I would only add that condemning eliminationist rhetoric or calling for a serious conversation on gun control is not about using a tragedy “to score political points“; it’s about pleading with people to learn from history so we can quit fucking repeating it.
