- Ailes and Murdoch: Beck is their man. To employees who are troubled: "Shut up. You’re getting a paycheck."
- [Hullabaloo - digby]
…This is how it works in Randian hell world where the workers aren't "citizens" they are parasites who are "getting a paycheck." It's a little bit startling to see it played out in a Media corporation… but I think we are all adjusting just fine to our new reality where money equals speech and the wealthy are just a little bit better than the rest of us [due] to their superior "productivity."
Having said that, what's really interesting about this is the fact that Murdoch is obviously Beck's protector and that he sees Fox News as his best growth product. Considering that he owns half the world's media, that's fairly alarming. Just what does he have in mind?

"I didn't know jack weenie about what people were going through in here," Cunningham said…
Cunningham resigned from Congress in 2005 after he was caught accepting $2.4 million in bribes from defense contractors… Currently housed in a minimum security facility in Arizona, Cunningham now teaches GED courses and English as a second language for his fellow prisoners…
"Maybe that’s why God put me here," he recently wrote … "to bring about much needed prison reform."
[Or maybe it was because you took bribes, asshat. -L]
Having now experienced the system himself, Cunningham also recognizes the enormity of the task before him. "The USA has more prisoners than any other nation, including Russia & China," he notes.
