And, after mentioning the Bush-Putin nuclear weapons treaty (which, instead of reducing, calls for the stockpiling of WMDs, just in case we need them to defend against future dangers of which we currently know nothing), he points out, “Here is the irony: The surest way to make the world an even more dangerous place is to posit danger as the most important thing about it. This week's treaty is the clearest case in point.”
Molly Ivins comments, “What right-wing conspiracy? They do it all out in the open.“
And, she says, “The financial industry is so greed-driven it doesn't have the sense God gave a duck. It's always pushing for something ruinous to itself and everybody else“.
